Easter Sunday. What’s beautiful day! Sammy & Jared drove us to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. The line to board the ship was super long and it took 2 1/2 hours to get on board. Everyone had to do a Covid test on site and wait for the results. Because of this, our cruise left a little late, not that we minded. We made friends waiting in line.

Once we were on the ship, we got settled in our room, grabbed some food at the buffet, and explored. We had a specialty dinner arranged for tonight to celebrate the start of a wonderful vacation. We ate at the Italian restaurant, Canaletto, and it was very good. The aperol spritz drinks reminded us of our last big trip to Italy.

Afterwards we walked around the ship, stopping in several bars to listen to the bands playing. It was very relaxing and nice to be together.
